The McKinleyville Press is a locally owned, independent newspaper serving the communities of McKinleyville, Fieldbrook, Westhaven, Trinidad and Orick in northern Humboldt County, California. The Press is a weekly newspaper published each Tuesday.

The Press is written by local residents for local residents and strives to be fair and balanced. The Press also provides a forum on its opinion pages for residents to debate the issues of the day.

Be sure to visit our Azalea Festival page. The four-day 2008 Azalea Festival was held Thursday, June 5th, though Sunday, June 8th, in McKinleyville. The event, previously known as Pony Express Days, included a Rummage Sale and Crafts Bazaar, a Car Show, a Firemen’s Muster, BBQ, Chicken Pie Bingo, 3 bands in the park, The Azalea Festival parade, Food Tasting, and lots more. KXGO was broadcasting live.
